About the Course Author

Dr. Melissa Batson, founder of Movement Ashram, has extensive experience investigating the neuroscience of perception, perceptual learning, motor learning and the relationship between motor and cognitive learning. Dr. Batson has been actively participating and coaching others in sports throughout her whole life (tennis, swimming, softball, skiing, snowboarding, surfing, etc), and over the past few years, she has become an avid climber and slack-liner. She is also a certified yoga teacher, conducting classes in Hatha yoga, pranayama, and meditation.
